Applications for the 2012 Freight Academy will be accepted between October 15, 2011 and December 15, 2011.

Any student who is interested in participating in the Freight Academy must be nominated by a public agency. A review panel comprised of Coalition staff, leaders and other members in the Coalition organization (including Freight Academy graduates) will review all nomination forms and make final selections. All applicants will be notified about acceptance on January 16, 2012.

Due to the limited number of candidates accepted, the selection process can be competitive (particularly for scholarship candidates). In completing nomination forms, applicants should put forth responses that show their commitment and enthusiasm for attendance at the Freight Academy.

2012 Nomination Form

Preference will be given to those participants who have completed FHWA’s Integrating Freight in the Transportation Planning Process (NHI 139006). This course is available online. Instructions for accessing the course are available here.

Completed nomination forms should be emailed to nominations@freightacademy.org
